Shall the city of Decatur adopt the Strong Mayor form of municipal government? Yes!

Our Goal

Decatur has relied on a council-manager form of government for fifty years. It is time to adopt a new & better form of city government. This new city government will embrace future opportunities & current challenges with greater neighborhood representation. It is time to elect a strong mayor form of government in place of an unelected bureaucracy. A new form of government will increase accountability of elected leaders & representation of all voters. It is time for change to a government of the people, by the people and for the people. It is time for ChangeDecatur.
